HAMMOND (FAM VLT) 1814 The Hammond vault contains descendants of Abijah Hammond (1757-1832) and Catharine Ludlow Hammond (1771-1814). Abijah was a New York merchant who served as a lieutenant in the Continental Army. He was one of the original members of the Society of the Cincinnati. HAMMOND, MARY COCHRAN B. 1847 Mary Hammond died a resident of PHiladelphia on May 17, 1847 at the age of 39 and was buried in the family vault. HAMMOND, CHARLES HENRY 1849 Charles Henry Hammond died a bachelor at the age of 53 of a gastrointestinal infection. At the time of his death he resided at 91 White Street. HAMMOND, CHARLES LUDLOW OGDEN 1855 Died on August 24, 1855 at the age of 22 HAMMOND, OGDEN 1867 Died May 28, 1867 HAMMOND, ALEXANDER HAMILTON 1877 Alexander H. Hammond was a retired officer of the Orient Mutual Insurance Company. He died on June 26, 1887 at the age of 79. His funeral was held on June 30, 1887 at his residence in Islip, Long Island with the Reverend Henry Baumann officiating. After the ceremony, his body was conveyed to the family vault at Trinity Church by members of the Society of the Cincinnati.
