PERRY U.S.N./May A.D. 1846 Elias Neau, a French Huguenot, conformed to the Church of England and in 1704 was appointed catechist to Indians and Africans under the auspices of the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel. He was a Vestryman at Trinity Church from 1705-1713.
